What Are the All-on-4 and All-on-6 Concepts?

Instead of placing a separate implant for each lost tooth, a full-arch fixed prosthesis (replacing an entire jaw) is built on just 4 or 6 implants, placed at strategic angles in a single jaw. The back implants are angled into areas with higher bone density, eliminating the need for a bone graft in most patients.

How Does It Differ from a Full Denture?

• Fixed, Not Removable: Unlike a traditional denture, it isn't taken in and out by the patient — it stays fixed in place like natural teeth.
• Halts Bone Loss: Implants transmit chewing force to the jawbone, significantly slowing the bone resorption that is unavoidable with full dentures.

How Does the Treatment Process Work?

The jawbone structure is examined in detail with 3D tomography, and the angles for implant placement are planned on screen. In suitable cases, a temporary fixed prosthesis can even be fitted on the same day the implants are placed ("teeth in a day"), so the patient never goes without teeth and can continue their social life. Once bone fusion is complete (3–6 months on average), a permanent zirconia prosthesis is prepared and fixed onto the implants.
