Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

Oral, dental and maxillofacial surgery is a specialty field covering the diagnosis and treatment of diseases, injuries and disorders of the hard and soft tissues in the mouth, teeth and jaw area for patients of all ages.

This includes routine and surgical tooth extractions, impacted tooth extractions, implant placement, treatment of jaw cysts and tumors, preprosthetic surgery, sinus lift procedures and bone augmentation.

It also covers the treatment of trauma-related injuries and jaw fractures, orthognathic (jaw) surgery, and treatment of temporomandibular joint disorders.

All procedures are carried out after a detailed examination, radiological imaging when needed, and thorough treatment planning, using local anesthesia or, when necessary, sedation or general anesthesia for patient comfort. Recovery is closely monitored with periodic follow-up visits after treatment.
